CHHMA Partner DMS, can provide consulting, advice, and staffing solutions for compliance with provincial legislation for waste packaging and extended product responsibility.

Ontario’s Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing recently announced the next steps for transitioning the costs of the Blue Box Program away from municipal taxpayers to make the producers of products and packaging fully responsible.

It is expected that by December 31, 2025, producers will be fully responsible for providing Blue Box services province-wide.

Dynamic Management Services (DMS) is a consulting firm with broad experience in provincial legislation for waste packaging and extended product responsibility (EPR).

Currently, in most Canadian provinces, companies have a legal obligation to collect and file data, as well as pay fees for products that are affected by EPR programs. However, producer responsibilities will be changing with the transformation of Ontario’s Blue Box program.

DMS offers a free 2-hour consultation to CHHMA members to determine their legal obligation under any of the existing provincial programs in Canada. DMS can also provide advice and offer staffing solutions for compliance.
