The Association recognizes the importance of education, and therefore encourages children of employees of our association member companies to attend university or college. To help offset the cost of a post-secondary education, the CHHMA has been pleased to offer a Scholarship Program.  

The CHHMA Board of Directors is pleased to announce the Scholarship Program recipients for the year 2020. The finalists were chosen by weighted ballot draw and this year we are pleased to award three scholarships:

Raisa AhmedToronto, Ontario
Raisa is the daughter of Nazir Ahmed who works for The Hillman Group Canada.  Raisa will be attending Ryerson University in the fall to work on her Bachelor of Science degree.


Andreanne NadeauMontreal, QC
Andreanne is the daughter of Manon Lanteigne who works for Lincoln Electric Company of Canada.  Andreanne will be attending the University of Quebec, Trois-Rivières in the fall to work on her Bachelor’s Degree in Preschool Education.


Jonathon RobertsSherwood Park, Alberta
Jonathon is the son of Karen Roberts who works for Moen.  Jonathon will be attending the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in the fall working on a degree in Industrial Heavy Equipment.  


The CHHMA would like to thank everyone who applied for this year’s scholarships and would like to congratulate and wish this year’s recipients well with their upcoming studies. Since 2001, the CHHMA has awarded $203,000 towards scholarships and some 103 young people have benefited from the program.
