One of the most valuable benefits of CHHMA membership can be the information obtained from the Association’s peer networking groups including CORE, SMART and HR.  Members can attack critical problems in a friendly forum, find out how others may be dealing with a similar problem or issue, discuss best practices and benchmark your company with others in the industry.  Group members find these meetings to be very beneficial and potentially could save your company thousands of dollars based on info gathered during these discussions.

On December 5th, one of our SMART groups will be meeting at 8:30 a.m. at the Centre for Health & Safety Innovation (CHSI), 5110 Creekbank Road, Mississauga, ON L4W 0A1.

What is SMART?  SMART stands for “Sales Managers Achieving Results Together”

How does it work?

Senior sales managers, account managers and marketing executives from non-competing CHHMA member companies meet four times a year over breakfast to discuss industry issues and best practices amongst their peers. Meetings typically last 90 minutes to 2 hours.

Meanwhile, we will also be conducting a CORE meeting at the CHSI facility on December 5th at 10:30 a.m.

CORE stands for “Chief Officers Reaching Excellence” and operates similar to the SMART program except that the meetings involve senior executives/general managers from our member companies.

The HR Group also meets four times a year to discuss HR issues, best practices and new legislation impacting employees and the workplace. At some of the meetings we will have a HR and/or legal expert review new government legislation. We will also feature guest speakers to present on topics and trends that are relevant for HR personnel.

The next HR Group meeting is scheduled for December 11th, 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. also at the CHSI facility.
