The CHHMA is pleased to announce that Doug Anderson, President & CEO of Peavey Industries LP, will be our latest retail breakfast speaker on the morning of Thursday, April 23rd at the Corporate Event Centre at CHSI, 5110 Creekbank Rd, Mississauga, ON, 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. breakfast & registration, 9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. approx. presentation followed by Q&A period.

CHHMA members will have an opportunity to hear from Mr. Anderson as he provides an update on Peavey’s recent acquisition of the Ace Canada business from Lowe’s Canada and their plans for all the banners moving forward. Find out how you can best do business with their operation and where the opportunities for growth may lie. Housewares members should be interested in attending as well as Peavey is looking to expand their appliance offerings.

About the Speaker

Doug Anderson is the President & CEO of Peavey Industries LP, a national retailer operating under the Peavey Mart, TSC Stores, MainStreet Hardware and now Ace Canada banners. With over 90 corporate store locations, Peavey Industries operates in 5 provinces and is based out of Red Deer, Alberta with a divisional office in London, Ontario. Peavey Industries sells general merchandise targeted primarily at customers who enjoy the rural lifestyle. Product offerings range from farm supplies, tools & hardware, lawn & garden supplies, workwear, housewares, homesteading supplies, to large animal feed, pet supplies, outdoor living, toys and home décor.  Doug has a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Alberta and lives in Red Deer with his wife Erin, and 2 children, Alisa and Lukas.

Following Mr. Anderson’s talk to our members, the CHHMA Annual General Meeting will take place at the same facility. The AGM provides an opportunity for members to get updated on the Association’s finances and latest plans and initiatives as well as vote on any by-law changes as well as board members up for election or re-election.
